First of all, thank you for using Deskman, an advanced desktop security manager.

Featuring a simple interface, Deskman allows you to combine restrictions and options to easily achieve the desired security level. Whether you need to secure workstations or lock down desktops, Deskman is your tool of choice. Install and forget about it — Deskman runs silently in the background, keeping systems secured at all times.

Simply check the desired options -or load a preset- and press the Apply button:

• Protect critical system settings such as the Control Panel, the Start Menu, Windows Explorer, drives, desktop icons...
• Build a limited, customized, Start Menu
• Disable system keys, key combinations and mouse buttons
• Allow a list of applications while stopping any other -unknown, unwanted- programs
• Protect desktop icons from tampering
• Stop access to all websites, with the necessary exceptions

Simplified Administration

Deskman is designed to make administrator's life easier:

• Maintenance mode available — most restrictions can be removed temporarily, at once
• Multiple configurations by means of presets
• A safe task manager for protecting running processes, including Deskman
• Fast deployment

Startup Information

Deskman is always running — double-click the Deskman icon in the traybar to operate Deskman.
Always remember the hotkey to open Deskman at any time, by default: Ctrl-Shift-F12

• Remember to enter a strong password to protect Deskman
