What are the differences between Standard and Professional licenses?

Professional licenses are required for: Remote Deskman —web— and fast deployment.

Can I import my old data file to Deskman 2012?

Yes. Deskman 11 data and profiles can be imported into Deskman 2012.

Do I need a network to make Deskman work?

Deskman does not require a network, or Internet connection, to be installed, or used.

Can I set up a profile for each user?

No. Restrictions are applied system-wide. You can create exceptions for admins, or users.

What happens if I forget the password?

Contact us for assistance, and we will help you recover access to your system.

Can I remove restrictions easily if I need?

Yes. Enable Boss Mode, by pressing a hotkey, no need to reboot/log off.

Do I need to reboot every time I make changes?

It depends on the changes made. Logging off is usually enough.

Can I deploy Deskman on multiple computers easily?

Yes. Check the Check the Deployment guide.

What happens when the evaluation version expires?

Deskman will not apply restrictions at startup, but you will still be able to make changes to your system, or test Deskman a bit more. Or uninstall it safely.

How does Safe Web Browsing work?

Safe Web Browsing is very easy to use: enable it to stop all web sites. Add keywords to allow specific sites, such as your company's website, etc. It works on all modern browsers.

Can I manage Deskman installations remotely?

Yes. Deskman includes a web interface and can be easily managed remotely.

Should we load the Kiosk Mode or the Ultra Kiosk Mode profile?

Try first the Kiosk Mode profile. Most users will be fine with the normal Kiosk Mode. Unless you're using Windows 8, or require an extra security level, in which case, read how the Ultra Kiosk Mode works.

Which browsers are supported?

Any modern browser will do.

Can I monitor CPU, memory remotely?

Yes. Install Reactor on all remote computers and add monitors to your main Reactor installation using these plugins: CheckCPULoad, CheckMemoryLoad.

What exactly can I monitor with Reator?

You can monitor servers/connections. You can monitor databases. You can monitor cpu, memory, battery and hard drives. And you can monitor, well, anything, with your own plugins.

Do you have an iPhone/iPad/Android app?

Reactor already looks great on smartphones. Try connecting to your Anfibia Reactor server from your iPhone/iPad and see for yourself.

Can I install Reactor on workstations?

Yes, as long as your computer runs on Windows XP, at least. No other restrictions: Reactor consumes very low memory and cpu.

Switch

Where is Switch?

Switch is installed in your computer, like any other application. But instead of running it from the desktop or the Start Menu, Switch runs in your browser.

Which browsers are supported?

Any modern browser will do.

How can I open Switch?

Double-click on the Switch icon in the taskbar.

Uninstall Switch and reinstall. Contact support if the problem persists.

I forgot the password!

Passwords cannot be recovered. Uninstall and install Switch again — contact us if you have a license number and we will offer you a better solution.

Our software runs on most modern Windows versions. Windows XP or better.

Where can I find Desktop Orbiter?

Desktop Orbiter is no longer available. Deskman 2012 has taken over.

How many licenses do I have to purchase?

1 license per computer where you plan to install and use the software.

Do I have to pay for updates?

No. Updates are free. But upgrades — new major releases — require a new license.

What happens when my license expires, after 1 year?

Nothing. Licenses do not expire: support entitlement expires.

What are the requirements to purchase an educational license?

Educational licenses are for students, schools, libraries, and non-profit organizations.

Can I pay by credit card?

Yes. Press the Buy Now button and you'll be able to place your order via our e-commerce partner SWREG.

Do I need a PayPal account?

No. PayPal accounts are not mandatory. Contact us if PayPal does not accept your credit card.

Do you accept Purchase Orders?
